Before and After

Swelling, tiredness and restlessness in her legs, particularly the right leg. Symptoms worse towards the end of the day but relieved by elevation of the legs and exercise. Severe swelling of her legs after long haul flights. Chronic venous stasis changes with pigmentation and induration in the skin and the lower limbs bilaterally.

History of previous vein stripping with recurrent below-knee varicose veins and prominent areas of spider veins over her foot.

Bilateral Endovenous Laser Ablation & Ultrasound-guided Foam Sclerotherapy

An excellent response to treatment. There is some minor residual discomfort over the treated great saphenous vein but the degree of skin discolouration and venous prominence has improved significantly. Areas of surface telangiectasia had significant improvement but additional microsclerotherapy was also undertaken.
