Previous episodes of superficial thrombophlebitis affecting the right leg and more recently a tender lump over the left ankle which would appear to have been due to a recent episode of thrombophlebitis
SVT developed in 2009 on long-haul flight and patient spent most of his holiday consulting doctors to see if he was ok to fly back. SVT affected his ability to walk and he was very worried on the return flight. Continued monitoring with regular ultrasound and in 2017 when the discomfort became unbearable

Treatment has been successful and any residual issues are now only of surface cosmetic significance. Patient elected not to pursue cosmetic surface microsclerotherapy as his symptomatic issues had resolved and that’s all he cared about.
