Strong family history of varicose veins and has had previous treatment in the past comprising injection sclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy. He had good initial results from the phlebectomy but the veins have now recurred. Experiences some heaviness and tiredness in the left leg but has not noted any symptoms in the right leg.
Patient had prior sclerotherapy and phlebectomy elsewhere. Veins recurred after 5 years. Had a consult for this re-treatment elsewhere but was very rushed and the doctor spent only 5 minutes with him so the patient was not comfortable to proceed as he didn’t feel confident and reassured by this other doctor. Consulted us for a second opinion and was very happy and comfortable to proceed with treatment with The Vein Clinic.
