Endovenous Laser Ablation & Ultrasound-guided Ambulatory Phlebectomy of the great saphenous vein
The procedures were technically successful and abolished all reflux and improved the pre-treatment symptoms. Unfortunately this patient suffered some minor complications following treatment – seroma (fluid collection) requiring aspiration and an area of thermal injury. These symptoms will improve slowly over time. At aftercare the patient reported an improvement and this will continue to be monitored at her regular follow-ups. There are risks associated with any medical intervention procedure and these are outlined clearly in the information given at consultation as well as in the consent forms and aftercare documents.
